1. I am taking this class because it is required for me, which leads into the next question..
2. I am a theatre major with a performance concentration.
3. I wouldn't say I am an introvert or an extrovert..I am going to sort of dodge the question by saying I am an ambivert. I read a really great Buzzfeed article about it and realized that is exactly what I am because I have qualities of both extroverts and introverts and do not think I am mostly one or the other. Here's the article that enlightened me. http://www.buzzfeed.com/lukebailey/ambiverts-for-the-silver#.xnEEPpz4Ep
4. Of course I am interested in acting and dancing and such, as my major calls for it. But outside that I am a huge nerd, and I love reading and science and learning about history.
5. In a specific sense, to me presence to me is when you can walk in to a room full of people and say or do nothing, yet you automatically grab everyone's attention because you have presence. In terms of stage presence I would say I have "it" for the most part. With theatre a huge part of my life since I was young I've worked a lot on having presence.
6. Like many people I am not 100% confident with my body. However I do feel that it is the only one I was given and will ever be given so I need to accept and work with who I am and how I move.
7. I have also danced my whole life so I have confidence in the way I move in that sense. I usually feel confident with the way I move onstage, just in general. I tend to have big expressive movements and talk with my hands so I do not usually have a big problem with awkwardly moving while I'm onstage.
8. Almost contradicting myself, I am also very self conscious on the way I move when it comes to dancing. I know I just said I was confident, but it constantly goes back and forth between feeling so confident with my movements and knowing what I am doing is right, and feeling completely awkward and wrong.
9. I hope after this class I understand more about how to move naturally onstage. I am also excited for the yoga, I hope to get a lot out of that as well because I have always wanted to try it and never really got around to it.
10. In five years I will hopefully be out of college, unless I change my major or really do something to mess up.. I hope to be in a city with my best friend who also studies theatre, trying to get ourselves out there. In ten years I hope I am successful. Even if I am not acting or have got a good break somewhere I hope to be in the field somehow. If dreams come true I will have enough money to be living in New York. Guess we will see!
